SP MLA gets life imprisonment in murder case

Samajwadi Party MLA Kaptan Singh Rajput, who was convicted in a 2002 murder case, has been sentenced to life imprisonment.

Kaptan Singh Rajput, his brother along with seven of their associates were booked in 2002 for the murder of one Krishan Dubey in Jalaun district.

A special court in Jalaun had on Saturday convicted Kaptan Singh Rajput and his brother in the 12-year-old murder case.

Seven other accused were let off by the court due to lack of evidence.

Both Rajput and his brother Mangal Singh were taken into custody immediately after the Judgment.
