French admit to having a racist outlook

A poll has revealed the predominance of a racist attitude amongst the French with one in every seven Frenchmen admitting to having prejudicial views regarding immigrants, homosexuals, Blacks, Arabs and Jews.




Racial stereotyping was common with 30 percent of the people saying that they agree with the idea of Jews’ mainstay being finance and media. Twenty-eight percent said Arabs were more likely to commit crimes than other ethnicities. The poll was conducted by the BVA Institute for two antidiscrimination groups, the Daily Telegraph reports. A significant minority of French, 15 per cent, admit to being “rather or a bit racist”, up one per cent on the previous study. ANI
