IN THE SUPREME COURT OF INDIA
CIVIL APPELLATE JURISDICTION CIVIL APPEAL NO. 7139 OF 2008 MOHD. SAUD ..... APPELLANT VERSUS O R D E R
1. Counsel appearing for the parties have stated that this appeal deals with the issue with regard to election of a Block Pramukh, Kshetriya Panchayat in the State of U.P. under the U.P. Kshetra Panchayats and Zila Panchayat Adhiniyam, 1961 and U.P. Kshetra Panchayats (Election of Pramukhs and Up-Pramukhs and settlement of Election Disputes) Rules, 1994.

2. The election was held for the post of the Block Pramukh for the years 2006-2011. The term of the same had expired this year i.e. 2011. We are also informed that the subsequent election for the aforesaid post has also been held this year. Since the term of the Pramukh C.A.
